Our Castile Soap is the only soap that can be used in all stages of brewing without affecting the fermentation, flavor, or head retention of your brew.
- Make a stock cleaning solution by diluting 2 tablespoons of our Castile Soap per quart of water.
- Use this solution to clean all bottles, serving glasses, fermenters, kettles, beer lines, etc.
- Rinse thoroughly.
TIP: For authentically residue-free & rinse-free sanitizing, use 6% hydrogen peroxide (not the standard 3%) on all freshly washed surfaces immediately prior to bottling or transferring. Leave it in contact with the surfaces for at least 5 minutes and then drain (do not rinse). A 6% solution of hydrogen peroxide has been shown to be about as effective as bleach yet its residues don't cause harm to the yeast. The small amounts of residual hydrogen peroxide will quickly & completely break down into water and oxygen, which is then graciously consumed by the yeast themselves.
